I would like to take the opportunity of saying that I found - The Social Baby book - the most useful and inspiring pregnancy reading by far - I've been putting a lot of the techniques into practice, and my baby is really happy as a result. Huge thanks for that and I'll be sending the book to my friends who are expecting!

I was recommended your book by our local community centre. I can't express how valuable a resource it has proven to be. It has changed my relationship with my son (8 weeks). I only wish I'd had it with our first baby. I'm about to purchase my own copy as I can't bear to do without it when I return it to our Community Centre lending library.

I spent the weekend reading your book with my wife, and it really made a change to us and to the relationship with our 6 weeks son. The video captures are brilliantly straightforward, much unlike other books we've read. But it's the message the book gives that made a whole difference to the way we communicate with our baby. We've tried several of the gaming examples, with fantastic results! (from old site, Sept 2003)

just to let you know that I bought the book for my parentcraft group and we are all reading it. Personally I thought it was great, extremely informative and practical too- it was good to understand how to interact and when to stop - a great buy.
Many thanks,

Much impressed by the next day delivery!
I've spent the morning engrossed: as a soon to be first time mum, it's satisfying to have my instincts about how social even newborns can be recognised - never again will I kowtow to the older generation when they insist what I know is a smile is wind!
The book is a fascinating read, and I love the highly visual nature of it - the babies really do tell the story themselves, don't they? I read about the book months ago in the Observer. Thank you.
